It is surrounded by lush parks and embassy gardens and represents an ideal for walks or jogging and a swimming pool is also close by. The peaceful Koellnischer Park around the corner used to host the living symbol of Berlin – two brown Berliner bears. From the apartment in 5 to10 minutes walk you reach the historic Nikolaiviertel and the center of Alexanderplatz (2 subway stations). The stations Maerkisches Museum, Heinrich-Heinestrasse and Jannowitzbruecke giving access to five major subway and train lines can be reached with-in walking distance. Boat trips through Berlin can be taken from the nearby riverbanks. Despite its very central location the neighbourhood remains a peaceful and calm area.
